• So what is channeling?

Channeling is a means of opening up to wisdom outside of the thinking mind. I like to think of it like becoming a radio, and as I open up and slow my brain waves I can tune into information from other sources.

It’s really quite natural, and most of us do it on a regular basis.

Often we think of channeling as talking to beings like Angels and Guides or what we call “Ascended Masters.” Mediumship is a type of channeling involving communication with others who have been embodied in human form, but who have left the density of the body. Some folks channel “Light Language,” which has been described in the Bible as “speaking in tongues,” and is a coded language that can be understood by the heart, rather than the mind.

Reiki healing is a type of channeled energy, and there are other transmission-based healing forms that involve channeled energy of this nature.

You can channel the wisdom of your soul, or higher self. You can channel sound - tones and other syllables. Movement and dance can be channeled, as can visual art.

Channeling is inspiration that comes from outside the human mind.

As long as you are in a high vibration (joy, love, gratitude), a slower brain wave state, and are open to what comes through you can channel.

  • Do you “go away” when you channel? What will it be like?

I channel various ways, mainly dependent on what you and your “team” are bringing to the table. Sometimes I channel with my eyes closed and my hands move independently of what’s being said. Sometimes I hear things in my “mind’s ear,” and sometimes it’s somewhere in between.

Most often I just know things once I tap in to your energy, and then others begin to speak through me. I don’t always sound any different than when I’m speaking normally to you, although I may not be looking at you directly at this point.

  • I have a loved one on the other side? Can I talk to them through you?

While I have been trained as a medium, it isn’t the focus of my practice. That being said, loved ones often come through with support and guidance while we are in session. I’m not the person you come to if you want to know where grandpa buried the treasure, but if you feel the presence of your grandmother and would like confirmation that it is indeed her who you are sensing, that will most certainly come up.

Loved ones on the other side often take the opportunity to check in during our sessions, even if it isn’t what you came in for. They are always with us, and I encourage you to speak with them and interact with them on your own, as well. They’ll let you know they’re there.

  • What is spiritual mentoring?

Spiritual mentoring is pretty simple, as I see it. It’s advice and guidance for living from the perspective that there’s more here than meets the eye.

No matter what your question, concern, or desire is, my focus is helping clients align with their own power, reconnect with their self-worth, and live their life from a place of deep knowing that comes from the soul.

This could look like help with a situation you’re not sure how to handle, clarity on a question you’re looking for answers about, or assistance in changing a habit or circumstance in your life. Whatever is on your heart, we’ll connect you to you, to the wisdom you need, and a way forward.

  • So you’re a spiritual life coach?

Some people ask me why I don’t call myself a coach. I’ve had some training as a life coach, which is a wonderful modality, and one I incorporate in my work with people, but I find that mentoring is a better description, especially as much of the information that comes through is channeled. My whole toolbox is available through mentoring, not just the coaching part.

Life coaching as it is taught is a socratic method whose questions are designed to lead you to your own wisdom and your own choices. It’s about asking questions of the client, not about advice or guidance.

My work as mentor is absolutely to lead you to your own wisdom, but the method is much broader than just asking questions.

In a mentoring session I might be inspired to use the practice of coaching, or I might channel a message, or we might go on a guided journey to find clarity. There’s no limit to what can come forward in the sacred container we create together.

  • I think I might be a channel or a psychic or something. Can you help me?

Spiritual mentoring is also a resource for those who are discovering their own spiritual gifts (although ALL gifts are spiritual gifts, from my perspective.) When you’re opening up to your intuitive gifts and clairs it’s wonderful to have someone who’s walked in your shoes, and can help you make sense of the things you’re experiencing, and connect you to resources that will help you develop your intuitive skill set.

If you’re drawn to this kind of work you’re most likely adept at it, whether you realize it or not, and I absolutely recommend getting support to make the most of it!

  • I think I need a reading and a mentoring session. Can I do both in one session?

They’re not actually different things, really.

I have just added both titles so that it is understood that a “reading” is much more than that. Alternatively, for those looking for something more than just a reading, they know that they’ve come to the right place.

  • I just want a general message. Can I come in without a question?

That’s not generally how we roll at this time. That being said, I find that there’s pretty much always something on your mind, and it helps us all if we get it on the table at the start.

Free will is our greatest gift, and we have to ask to get the help we’re seeking. Me, I am just a conduit for the good stuff to roll through, and your asking is what helps me to start the flow. Sometimes we have to turn a few pages together before we get to the really good stuff, so the more we interact the better your experience will be.
